Programme Board

The Programme Board is responsible for designing and shaping the transformation to One Council and meets every two weeks.

The Programme Board's role has evolved as the Joint Implementation Team (JIT) is taking a stronger lead in the management of 'Towards One Council'. Originally the Programme Board made decisions on a wide range of issues and was responsible for delivering the tranformation. It has now taken on more of a design and shaping role, and will give in-depth consideration to particular issues, such as:

The Board will then develop and present its findings to the JIT.

This change will reduce the level of bureacracy related to programme decision making, with the reduction of three tiers to two, while retaining capacity to address critical programme requirements through the acquired knowledge and experience of senior officers from the five organisations.
