The Implementation Executive is composed of councillors from across the County and District Councils.There are 17 councillors in total and include representation from all major political parties in Wiltshire.
The councillors on the board are:
Wiltshire County Council
West Wiltshire District Council
North Wiltshire District Council
Kennet District Council
Salisbury District Council
The Implementation Executive will be responsible for making decisions about all aspects of the transition including the vision of the new authority, the redesign of key services and the budget. The Executive will meet on an informal basis until the formal implementation orders are put in place. They will then meet on a monthly basis at County Hall from 4-6pm.
The next meeting will take place on the 15/4/08. Further dates for these meetings will be set in due course.
The Chairman has indicated that any councillor from any of the five councils will be able to attend the meetings of the Implementation Executive. Members of the public are also welcome to attend formal meetings and contribute to the discussion in accordance with the normal procedure followed by the county council for public attendance at meetings.
The Implementation Executive will be replaced by a new Wiltshire Council Cabinet after elections in May 2009.
